Born and raised in Dublin, I began my career as an assistant editor at Independent Pictures, right after College. I worked my way up to series editor and edited over 50 hours of prime time TV for the national broadcaster before moving to Canada and working freelance for a year. While there, I assisted on several features, shorts and documentaries before editing the feature documentary With Glowing Hearts.
I moved to London In 2012 and worked at MPC Film as a lead VFX editor on several features including World War Z and Guardians of the Galaxy. In 2015, I was got the opportunity to start up the editorial department at the newly opened Industrial Light and Magic London Offices, and was lead editor on Spectre and Star Wars The Force Awakens.
Most recently I was offered the opportunity to move to ILM Vancouver to start up the editorial department there also and have completed work on Only the Brave, Martin Scorsese's Silence and Star Wars The Last Jedi among others.
Jan 2015 - Present
I am currently the lead editor at Industrial light & Magic Vancouver. I moved to Canada in 2016 to start up and head the editorial department. Since moving I've hired, trained and actively mentor three other editors, I've been promoted to lead editor and I supervise all editorial output from the studio, including all Pr, bidding and marketing reels for the studio.
2014
Prior to coming to Canada I was hired to start the editorial department in the newly opened ILM London offices. As the sole editor I was in charge of the editorial output for all shows, including Ant Man, The Force Awakens and Spectre.
2011 - 2014
For four years prior to joining ILM I worked as a senior vfx effects editor at MPC film London. I was lead editor on X-men First Class, John Carter, Man of Steel, World War Z and Guardians of the Galaxy, leading teams of between 2 and 5 editors.
2004 - 2010
In 2010 I spent a year freelancing in Canada and worked on several feature films, documentaries, reality TV shows and several corporate projects. I started my career as an editor in Ireland’s largest independent production company, Independent Pictures, where I created over 40 hours of primetime TV and worked my way up to senior series editor.
